Self Myofascial Release Class

This class will begin with a short discussion about Self Myofascial Release (MFR) and how our fascial system works. When we know what's happening to our muscles and fascia during Self MFR we can self-treat more effectively. After the discussion, we will spend an hour using Self MFR techniques followed by Q&A.
Everyone will be given a packet filled with Self MFR techniques plus a Self MFR tool to start your home care right away! Yoga mats and tools will be provided for you, but feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer. Please wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a pillow for extra comfort.
When fascia becomes restricted it can cause great disharmony in our body's natural alignment, causing pain and limited movement. Learn more about your fascial system along with self myofascial release techniques using tools like foam rollers, soft sports balls and stretching. Decrease pain while increasing flexibility!

About the instructor: After graduating in 2007 from NY College of Health Professions, Marisa focused her studies in JFB Myofascial Release, Subtle Energy Practices and CranioSacral Therapy. Her genuine compassion and intuitive nature are both strongly present while working with her. Marisa has been in private practice since 2009 and provides a supportive therapeutic environment to help assist her patients through their healing process.
